San Francesc is the capital of Formentera and the place where you will find the main services, such as banks, post offices, the town hall, and a large supermarket. This area is full of life, especially during the day, as it is filled with souvenir shops and hosts a lively hippie market that colors the streets from May to October.
It is an ideal place to spend the day if the beach weather is not favorable or to enjoy a dinner in the evening. In the town hall square, on certain dates, live music performances are held.
Although there are not many apartments for rent in San Francesc, as it is not considered a tourist area but rather where the inhabitants of Formentera and those who work on the island reside, it is the quintessential village. However, there are hotels and hostels available if you wish to stay in this area.
