Once you arrive at the port of Ibiza, you must take the boat to Formentera. Here are some practical tips for the boat journey:
During busy periods (June, July, August, or September), we recommend buying tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line to buy tickets and to be able to board the boat as soon as you arrive.
Book a ticket with an open schedule (it's the first option that comes up). This way, you won't have a problem if your flight is delayed. These open schedule tickets are valid for any time of day you purchase them.
If you want to start experiencing freedom and sun immediately, we advise you to board the boat early to get a seat outside. You will have to leave your suitcase where indicated and exit. If you get seasick, it's also advisable to go outside to get some fresh air.
During the summer, boats to Formentera depart every half hour, so the waits are very short. In the port of Ibiza, there is a bar with a very pleasant terrace where you can enjoy a drink while you wait; you can see your boat arriving from the same terrace.
Depending on the boat, the journey takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
If you are in Ibiza but want to take a trip to Formentera, there are boats that depart from Playa D'embossa or Figueretas. Contact us if you want information about this type of activity.
